CLUSTER MANAGER – TRUST SCHOOL PROJECT – MALAYSIA

August 2010 – December 2011

The overall aim of this project was to raise educational standards by improving the quality of learning and teaching under the Trust Schools’ programme.  As Cluster Manager, I worked with the Principal and senior leadership teams of 5 primary and secondary schools in the Johor cluster with the focus on educational leadership.

In addition, I was also responsible for coordinating and supporting the work of the expatriate Learning Teaching Advisors in each school.  These advisors, in turn, worked with local school staff in their subject areas to improve change pedagogy and improve classroom methodology.

MANAGEMENT ADVISOR – AL DHAHER BOYS’ SCHOOL– UAE

August 2008 – July 2010

As a Management Advisor (MA) I was responsible for the day-to-day oversight of the management of the school including all relationships with the senior leadership, teaching staff and the consulting personnel.  This included:

·      the professional development of the Principal and Senior Management Team in planning, development and leadership.

·      managing the work of a team of curriculum consultants in English, Mathematics, Science and ICT, who worked with the school’s teachers.

·      overseeing the performance management process for teachers in conjunction with the leadership of the school.
